Lifeworks Summer Holiday Bubbles
We are delighted to bring to you Lifeworks Summer Holiday Bubbles. Following a great deal of careful planning to ensure we keep your young person safe we are excited to be able to offer you a rich and interesting programme of activities this summer.
Taking place outside on the stunning Lupton House Estate in Brixham between Tuesday 28 July and Friday 28 August from 10am-4pm. We are planning lots of fantastic activities to help participants adjust to socialising in the ‘new normal’ and to do what they have always done at Lifeworks Holiday Projects – have fun, try new things, be active and be mindful.
We are concentrating on activities that promote staying safe and maintaining a social distance using Movement with Richard Chappell, Music with Moor to Sea and Mindfulness with the Mindful Choice to find new ways to connect. There will be lots of physical exercise with Lift-the-lid and Sophie Carr with us in person; yoga, hula hoop and circuits plus new for this holiday; Forest School in the Orchard at Lupton with South West Family Values.

Creative musical adventures

Moor 2 Sea will be using music to help restore our lost connections and find our way back together again as explorers of sound in the outdoors in the afternoons.
Forest School in the Orchard

SW Family Values will be showing us how to help conserve nature and toasting marshmallows over an open fire.
Mindfulness

Jem will be joining us on Fridays to connect with our breath, surroundings and self
How will the Holiday Bubbles work?
To keep everyone as safe as possible, this summer we have created ‘Holiday Bubbles. There will be a total of 7 young people + 1 young volunteer in each bubble. Each day there will be space for one young person needing 1:1 staff support and space for 6 young people who require 1:3 staff support.
This year you will only be able to book your young person in for 4 days in total. Your 4 days can be booked during Weeks 1 and 2 OR during Weeks 3 and 4. For example you cannot book 2 days in Week 1 and then have 2 days in Week 4. This is to ensure there is no potential infection crossover between young people and staff. Groups A and C will be led by Tim Chapman on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Groups B and D will be led by Matt Jefferies on Thursdays and Fridays. The same rule applies to Bubbles A and B; C and D. You cannot crossover from Bubble A to Bubble B nor Bubble C to Bubble D. So once you choose a bubble you have to stick with it throughout. Regretfully we cannot take bookings for just one day. Holiday Bubble Costs
The cost will be £50 per day, which increases to £100 per day if your young person needs 1:1 support. Please email [email protected] for more info and to book.
Places are strictly limited so do let us know as soon as possible if you want to join us.
Safe-Space will still be available
Safe-Space workshops will continue to run online across the Summer for those who cannot join us in person in the Holiday Bubbles. We will be offering the BtB Stamina Work out with Lift-the-lid, Healthy snack making with Chef Michela and Mindfulness with Emma and Jem. Keep Fit with Sophie and of course the Lifeworks Lockdown Disco. We also hope to live stream Moor to Sea and Creative Movement workshops from the Holiday Bubble.
