Lifeworks do like to be beside the seaside
Lifeworks Young Adults Saturday Social group had a great day out at Broadsands beach, which is situated on the beautiful English Riviera in between Paignton and Brixham.
We were lucky again with the amazingly good weather, with the sun shining all day, beautiful blue skies and clear water to cool down in. Once we had found our spot and set up on the beach, laid our towels out, sun cream on and sun chairs out, the young people took part in a hard contested sandcastle competition.
There were some wonderful and very imaginative creations… Jess was the winner and Team Lucy came next with Ella getting a special mention – But if we could have given everyone a prize we would.
Lifeworks paddle boarding
Then there really was no better place try paddle boarding than at Broadsands Beach. The whole group paddle boarded with the help and expertise of the wonderful Alena and her team from The Paddle Shack
With our very own Daniel standing and acrobatic Louis throwing himself from his board, all were having great fun!
An epic water fight to end the day
Afterwards it was time for a shared picnic lunch and we finished with the day with hilarity, having a massive water fight. Thanks, must go to Amy and Ros who are leaving us today and the young people made sure Amy got drenched and then gave her an emotional good bye along with three cheers. We are told also Amy may make an occasional guest appearance in the future at water based activates, so it is maybe au revivor for now Amy.
