Lifeworks College Beginnings
Lifeworks College started delivering specialist further education in 2011 with a small team of teachers and cohort of students eager to continue the progress they had made in school. Developing independence, life-skills and employment skills to become more work ready was as important then as it is now.
In 2016 we were rated as a Good provider of education by Ofsted. One of our funding sources as a college has recently changed and we are now awarded funding by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to enable us to continue our curriculum offer. Due to this Ofsted recognise us as a ‘New Provider’.
Lifeworks College Ofsted New Provider
New providers: New providers will normally have a monitoring visit within 24 months of being funded. They will then normally receive a full inspection within 24 months of the publication of the monitoring visit report. www.gov.uk
Following our recent Ofsted new provider monitoring visit in May 2021 we are pleased to have received such positive feedback for Lifeworks College.
“Learners enjoy and want to attend college. Families see rapid improvements in learners’ self-confidence, communication skills and behaviours”
We will receive a full Ofsted inspection in the next 2 years and look forward to sharing the outcome of this.
To read the monitoring visit report you can do so on the College Ofsted page or by visiting the Ofsted website
