Lifeworks Jubilee JOY

On Thursday the 26th May Lifeworks College celebrated the Queens Platinum Jubilee with a Street party.  In the run up to the event students had been very busy making decorations, crowns and preparing food. Everyone was encouraged to wear red, white or blue and a crown or hat. The morning was spent preparing icing cakes, making sandwiches and putting up bunting and flags.

To begin the party everyone was upstanding to sing God Save the Queen. Then we all tucked into a delicious lunch with red, white and blue mock tails to drink.  More fun followed with a Jubilee quiz, games that included corgi racing and pin the Queen her balcony on Buckingham Palace, an old fashioned sing song.

An Event to remember

Then a disco followed and who knew we had such great dancers at Lifeworks College. Finally, to end the afternoon there was a session of Jubilee sports. Everyone joined in and had a fantastic time. The Students told us it was a great day and asked when can we do it again. It was especially special to finally do an activity as a whole College.
