Lifeworks Community Activities

Lifeworks is really pleased to be bringing you our Lifeworks Community Projects Autumn-Winter 2022 in partnership with incredible local enterprises e.g. Moor to Sea, Common Flora, The Eden Project, Pennywell Farm, Lift-the-lid, Hooperlative Health & Fitness, CYP South West, Ocean Youth, Ivybridge Brewing Company Totnes Tennis Club and South Devon Railway. With lots of help, our programme is jam-packed full of inclusive sports, arts, life skills and growing opportunities at the weekend, in the evenings, and in the holidays for young people and young adults with learning disabilities age 11+ and their families and carers online AND in person.

We are kick starting our Football Programme with Matt from Lift-the-Lid and our very own Dan! & Anyone for Tennis? In partnership with Totnes Tennis Club. We will also be at Arts & Ecology Festival Dartington Taking a stroll down the FERMENT Arts Trail exploring art, science and nature all at once! Need some more outdoors then our day out at Dartmoor National Park helping the Dartmoor National Park Junior Rangers conserve archaeological sites, as well some nature based arts & crafts and learning how to look after young trees with Common Flora. As always there will be our Christmas Pantomime, “#oh-yes-we-are!” with plenty of time allocated for Pantomime Rehearsal with Jonathan! And to top it all enjoy magical moments at Pennywell Farm Christmas Experience

Torbay Young Adults Social Autumn/Winter 2022 18+ (10 Sept – 17 December)

We start our community programmes with a night under the stars with the Dartmoor National Park Rangers. Including night orienteering, bat walk, star gazing, campfire quizzes/games + litter pick the next day to say thank you to the Moor! We also have some amazing circus skills & panto devising workshop with Jonathan throughout the autumn programme. This year we are putting on a panto at Christmas for older folk in partnership with Totnes Caring. For our more physical activities there will be a cycle & swim at the Torbay Velopark & Leisure Centre. Which will also be a chance to ‘case the joint’ ahead of the YASS Sponsored Swim next term! With the help of South Devon Railway, it’s all aboard for a Halloween adventure trip in October! And to end the winter season it’s & Lifeworks Christmas Disco with DJ Mark

Lifeworks winter holiday project (19 Dec – 30 Dec)

We start our Holiday activities with a Lifeworks Mini Football Tournament Youth Group versus YASS (Young Adult Saturday Social Group) As well as fitting in time for the all-important Pantomime Rehearsal with Jonathan and the Lifeworks Team! Then it’s All Aboard” The Polar Express! Wear your pyjamas, we’re off on a fantasy adventure in Decmber! Lunch at the Station + with special permission from South Devon Railway a festive Hula-Hoop with Sophie C.

And if that wasn’t enough we will have a festive day our Ice-skating at the Eden Project and lots more!
