Team Leader – Full Time Days or Nights (Learning Disabilities)

Salary scale: £26,062.40 – £29,307.20 per annum (plus an additional £2.35 per hour night premium where applicable)

We are looking to recruit a Day and a Night Team Leader to join our teams at Robins, our 10 bed Residential & Respite Home.
Our Team Leaders assist and support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in providing effective day-to-day management of Lifeworks Robins provision by delivering the very best short breaks and residential services for children and young people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs.
Children and young people with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do, and we want every person we support to have a great life, with excellent outcomes. As part of that, you will be joining our team of staff who are committed to looking after the children and young people who both live and visit our residential and respite setting.
Our night Team Leaders’ shifts are typically a 9:15pm to 9:15am (these typically take place during term-times) or an 8.00pm – 8:00am or similar (these take place during school holidays/weekends). The working pattern is 3 nights on, 3 nights off.
Our full-time day Team Leaders have a shift pattern of 2 days on, 2 days off. The shifts typically consist of 12 hour shifts (08.00-20.00 or similar) but sometimes you may be needed to support some split shifts (07.00-10.00 then 14.30-21.30).

About you
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has:
– A Diploma at Level 3 in Children and Young People and/or extensive experience in a similar Team Leader/Senior role
– Other professional, childcare and/or social care management if above not held
– Knowledge of the needs of learning-disabled children and young people and best practices
– Level 2 or above in Safeguarding Children Training
– Knowledge of Children Homes Regulations/Ofsted Inspection framework
