Saturday Youth Club for young people with learning disabilities
Our Youth Groups are split into two groups
The Totnes Youth Group 11-18yrs & Torbay Young Adults Social 18-25yrs
Offering young people with learning disabilities a chance to make friends, experience the new, take the lead, get involved in community life and most importantly have a great time.
Our Youth Group runs on alternate Saturdays at the Rushbrook Centre in Totnes throughout the year and the seasonal programmes are chosen in advance by group members. Past activities at our Youth Group include Zip Wiring at the Eden Project, Skiing and Snow-tubing at Plymouth Ski Slope, community gardening, mountain biking, residential trips, cooking and much more.
New friends and experiences
Our Youth Grouth activities take place in a relaxed and supportive community environment. Members can make friends and develop life skills as they prepare for and become an adult.

Community inclusion

Learning Independence
Young people get the opportunity to learn life skills to help them grow their independence and confidence; from shopping and preparing meals to travel by bus/train/boat & even plane. The social trips away from home with friends are important for the young people we work with, helping both them and their family to believe that they can do it.
