Ordinary/Extraordinary Festival 2019 Campaign – Crowdfunding

Today marks the first day of our 4 week Crowdfunding campaign for the Ordinary/Extraordinary Festival 2019
– and we are all SO excited!

Our target is to raise £5000 in 4 weeks to enable the development of a ‘wholly inclusive’ and ‘totally inspirational’ Ordinary/Extraordinary Festival event.

The Project

Ordinary/Extraordinary is a collaborative arts project enabling learning disabled young people with a vocational interest in the arts to lead the development and delivery of a 2-day Arts Festival in October 2019; to generate participation; broker artist engagement and enable the creation of a wholly inclusive event celebrating connection and mental well-being in music, dance, drama and film at Dartington Hall.

The money raised with Crowdfunder will help Ordinary/Extraordinary young leaders with a vocational interest in animation learn new skills working with a professional animator; make animation shorts to promote the Festival online, lead family workshops at the Festival AND make a short film about loneliness to premiere at the Festival. The funding will also enable Ordinary/Extraordinary young leaders with an interest in music to learn skills as music leaders, develop a regular jamming session in Totnes and perform for the first time ever at Ordinary/Extraordinary in the Autumn of 2019.

You can find further information on the campaign AND fabulous donor rewards through the Crowdfunder or our own Facebook page below:

The Festival

The festival is “organised and run by young people who have shown their dedication to achieve.” Please help our Young Leaders who are heading up this campaign achieve their target and connect with their community. We hope that with your support we can create this inspiring space.

The Ordinary/Extraordinary Festival is the place where:
“Everyone has the freedom to just be.”
“For once my disabled sister wasn’t the odd one out.”
“Such an incredible space. Please do this every year.”*

This is the part where we need YOUR support. Please help us by spreading the word, sharing our Facebook posts, and if you fancy a free ticket to the festival alongside a whole range of other fantastic rewards, why not consider donating to the campaign!

*all quotes are taken from 2018 feedback.

Thank you so much for your support!
