Lifeworks has been chosen as TSB’s new Local Charity Partner in St Marychurch. To kick start the partnership TSB organised a Cake Sale and Fun Day, which raised over £180 for the charity. On top of this, TSB made a £100 donation to kick-off the new partnership – meaning that the branch is already well on its way to its £1000 fundraising target for Lifeworks.
In total, TSB is supporting nearly 500 local causes from across Britain, chosen from over 25,000 nominations from customers, members of the general public and Partners who work for the Bank.
Laura Bambrey, Community Fundraiser at Lifeworks said: “It’s fantastic that a high street bank is supporting local charities in this way. The support that TSB gives us will be invaluable, helping us to continue to develop and deliver our vital services and programmes for learning disabled children and young adults across the area.
TSB understands that no one knows their local community better than the people who live there. That’s why, each year, the Bank asks local people to nominate a local cause that they would like them to partner with.
TSB’s first Local Charity Partnerships came to an end in June 2016, and the Bank and its local communities have already donated over £1 million to causes across Britain since the programme began.
A huge thank you to everyone who nominated us for this fantastic #LocalCharityPartner opportunity, and we’re really looking forward to working with the fantastic team at the St Marychurch branch over the coming year.
